Memorandum of Understanding between ISLAMIC CHAMBER TRAINING ACADEMY (ICTA) and Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA)/ Islamic Chamber Research and Information Center (ICRIC) was signed on 27 May 2024 on the sidelines of the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber in Amman, Kingdom of Jordan by the Honorable President of the Chamber of Iran (Honorable Chairman of the Board of Directors of ICRIC) Mr. Hassanzadeh and the Honorable Secretary General of the Islamic Chamber , Mr. Yousef Khalawi.
Director General and members of the Board of Directors of ICRIC, the Deputy of the International Affairs at Iran Chamber, and the presidents of Islamic Chambers were present at this meeting.
The draft of the aforementioned Memorandum of Understanding on the subject of "Development of Human Capabilities" was prepared further to the request for the cooperation of the Training Academy of the Islamic Chamber from the Research and Information Center of the Islamic Chamber (ICRIC) in early 2023, and after applying the opinions of the Iranian parties, the Educational Institute of the Iran Chamber, headed by Mr. Mir Mohammad Sadeghi and the Director General of ICRIC as well as the Secretary General of the Islamic Chamber, the draft was finally approved.
The Islamic Chamber Training Academy (ICTA) is a specialized institution affiliated to the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), established with the aim of developing human capabilities and advancing the private sector across the Islamic world.
ICCIMA, Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (hereinafter, where appropriate, referred to as “ICCIMA”) represents the Islamic Republic of Iran Private sector.
ICRIC, Islamic Chamber Research and Information Center as the focal point of the “ICCIA” appointed by the “ICCIMA” at the “ICCIMA” head office in Tehran/IR Iran and as the coordinator to implement and pursue the objective of this MOU with cooperation of the Education and Research Institute affiliated to the “ICCIMA” in areas of the product and market development, development of trade support services, trade information, human resource development, international purchasing and supply management, etc. aims to have assessment and program design for Iran and regional countries for trade development, investment promotion, business to business (B2B) contacts /relationships etc. in the “ICCD” member countries with contribution of ICCD,
Some of the objectives of the aforementioned Memorandum of Understanding are as follows:
o To encourage, promote and facilitate an effective cooperation in the areas of education and research, and training, the Parties will establish effective communication between their members/affiliates.
o To strengthen cooperation, the parties will support each other for organizing activities such as seminars, workshops, training programs, courses and conferences to be launched in the “ICTA” and the I.R.Iran.
o The parties will prepare both virtual and non-virtual training programs and studies for their respective members which would benefit them for increasing “ICCD” member states economic cooperation, partnership in various sectors for Iranian and “ICCD” private sectors particularly for the SME companies
o The parties will assist and encourage the exchange of technical and professional experience between their members.
o In order to continue their relations, the parties will meet periodically and make new plans for future cooperation, and will appoint their respective representatives.
o In conformity with their respective responsibilities, activities, and organizational requirements, both Parties agree to make reasonable efforts in the following modalities of cooperation:

Organizing conferences, seminars, and workshops for the development and promotion of trade and investment, for the private sector of the Member States;
Regional workshops/training programs and other forms of cooperation, such as technical assistance and capacity building in selected fields geared to the needs of the OIC Member States private sector, as well as to the general objectives of the OIC Program of Action 2025 and Sustainable Development Goals;
The Parties will exchange relevant information on relevant activities and programs for the utilization of the Member States and for the economic and social developments in the Member States; and
Any other mechanisms that may be agreed upon by the Parties from time to time. A Joint Committee consisting of three members: one from ICTA, one from Education and Research Institute affiliated to the “ICCIMA”, and one from ICRIC, shall be established to facilitate the enforcement of this M.O.U. and to decide on any issues regarding classes, seminars, workshops etc. on various subjects needed by business activists in member states.
